I WAS IN THE MARKET FOR A PAIR OF AVIATORS AND THE ONES AT L.L. BEAN FILLED THE BILL. I WANTED A SMALLER SIZE RATHER THAN ONE SIZE FITS ALL. BEAN'S AVIATORS ARE OFFERED IN S/M OR LARGE. THE SIZE SMALL WORKED WELL FOR ME. I HAD LOOKED AT OTHERS APPROACHING THE $200 PRICE RANGE WHICH WAS MORE THAN I WANTED TO PAY. THE FRAMES ARE QUITE STURDY AND SHOULD LAST WITH NORMAL WEAR. THE LENSES ARRIVED WITH NO SCRATCHES OR IMPERFECTIONS. I HAVE WORN THEM FOR SEVERAL WEEKS AND WOULD PURCHASE THEM AGAIN.

Classic Aviator - Just Right
I am an older (66) female with a thin face. So many sunglasses are large, plastic, feel heavy and look comical on me. I've wanted some aviators for a while, but they were often also too large. When I saw that these Polarized Aviators ($69.95) were unisex and offered in a Small, Medium and Large, I took my chances on the small. Well, I'm very happy with the fit on my face. They aren't overwhelming and they aren't heavy. I like the polarization, although in intense sun glare bouncing off a car in front of me, I did have difficulty. A much darker glass would have been needed. For everyday driving and sun protection, perfect.
