Great warm winter boots!
I took a shot ordering these after some harsh reviews and I’m glad I did! I find them very warm and lightweight for walking. My previous snow boots were heavy Sorels that were impossible to get on and off and these are exactly the opposite. I’m usually a size 9-10 but I always size up for boots and the 10s were perfect. The cord is functional and ties tight over my snow pants so no snow sneaks in! I’ve been ice skating, tubing and ice fishing with these for hours and they’ve been excellent.

Very warm boot - even my toes stay warm!
I bought these boots to shovel snow since we were expecting a decent amount. I wanted something that was cozy warm, waterproof, and tall enough to prevent snow from getting into the top of the boot and down my leg. These actually checked all of these boxes. After shoveling my very long driveway, I realized that I could not feel my fingers inside of my gloves, but my toes were still very warm. Seriously, I could still feel my toes!! I have never had a pair of boots that kept my toes from getting cold! I love these boots. The design is a bit different, but they work for me. I untie and unzip them to loosen the top and push my foot down into the boot and then zip and tie them back up. They are cozy warm and because they are so tall, even keep my legs warm in the cold weather. They are also very cushioned in the sole and very comfortable. So glad I took a chance and purchased them. Even though it's since stopped snowing and we're now into the frigid single digit cold weather, I still reach for these boots every day, just for the warmth when I go outside. Absolutely love them!

Too small - waiting for refund😊
These boots were so tight at the ankle that I couldn’t get my foot in with a sock on. I returned them but I have yet to hear back from L.L. Bean or get my inbox credited again. Perhaps they are lost in the mail. But LLB always is reliable so I’m sure I will hear from them soon. I would only buy these boots if you have very slender feet. They are quite pretty.

Terrible Design
I should have listened to all the reviews. It is a terrible design. The zipper does not open all the way, so it is good for nothing. Extremely hard to get on and off. Returned.

Grey is darker in real life
The grey color is darker in real life by at least a few shades. It is not a deal breaker for me, I am keeping them but I thought they were much closer to a white/grey than they are. Fit wise, they are nice. good support and cushion and most definitly warm. I cannot complain about the warmth lol. The tread on the bottom is not the best on ice but it did provide some stability. I would not recommend for ice fishing tread wise. Warmth wise yes, tread wise, no. They did reasonably decent in semi-plowed driveways and parking lots. Wearing thick socks is not necessary but I did try them with thick socks and it was a tad hard to zip up. Toe area did not fell cramped though and the nothing rubbed my ankles. Zipped up just fine with regular winter socks. Overall, not bad boots at all, just wish they website had a truer view of the color.

Lightweight and functional!
I love its look,its function.i just bought it and i love the design.its tall covering my lower legs right before knee.perfect!i was looking for this fit anywhere else and finally.its warm too .
I havent tried it in snow yet as its still fall here in Canada but as i tried it.on again and again it looks promising and
true .
Tip! Its easier to wear it when you open the zipper first and practice wearing just a few times.and yes! I love it.im excited for snow! Its not so firm but its lightweight and its just really good fit for me.love these! I git grey quarry and its absolutely pretty!

My worst LL Bean purchase, ever. Wretched!
Lifelong LL Bean customer for decades and I'm horrified. These boots are an abomination in design. The absurd tie cord and useless zipper are only exceeded by the disastrous design that prevents you from getting them on. The highest and best use for these would be to have a boot throwing contest where the boots go into a deep dark cave. Ptoie! Shame on you, LLBean

Fits great, easy to get on
This boot fits true to size. It is easy to put on, not a narrow fit and the zipper is not a problem, for me, like other reviewers noted. It's 14" tall. The 1" heel makes me feel taller. It's very lightweight and feels warm and cozy. I love this boot.

Bean needs more TALL BOOTS!!!
I really like these boots, gave four stars because have not tested in snow yet...
I have to say that Bean Really needs to ADD to its tall boot line-up.There is a shortage for some reason-no tall shearling, for example, or even PrimaLoft-these were the only ones.

i’ve been a customer for over 50 years
I horrible boots, they don’t zip to the top the zip only from the ankle to the mid thigh very difficult to get your actual leg into the boots. L.L. Bean has gone downhill. All of their products are defective.

Not what I was hoping for
I wanted a tall snow boot with a zipper (no laces) and there were almost none on the market, so I can't complain too much. What I couldn't tell was that the zipper does NOT go all the way to the top; it stops at a band at the top. Why? I'm a size 9.5 but I bought a 10. Good thing; it's tight, complicated by the fact that the band at the top does not help you get your foot into the shoe. I'm hoping they stretch a little or I'm not going to be able to wear wool socks.

Really wanted to like this
Have a very old version of these but my foot has changed need a bigger size. These are the replacement and they are not nearly the quality of the originals and the design changes they made our terrible. First off they changed the zipper to the inside and it's a poor quality which I could not even get up the first time I tried to zip the boots. Finally got them working. I thought but no They are very comfortable and incredibly warm but not good enough to keep. Do you like the edition of the Thai at the top. That zipper needs to go it needs to be straight up and down in the middle like the old design and not only a partial. Because of the design of the boot I cannot get my pants into the boots easily. No way I want to spend At least 10 minutes tucking in my pants and getting these on and off every time

Great boot!
Warm and durable. Felt a little narrow when I first got them but they’ve broken in just fine and fit perfectly. Very comfortable.They were delivered a day sooner than originally slated.

NOT for those with a high arch
Was really excited to get these, but couldn't get my food into the boot in my normal size 9. Looking at the picture you can see how "tailored" the boot is in the front and back of the ankle. I returned and got a size 10. With trouble, I was able to at least get my foot into the boot, but then they were just too big. They seem like they'd be really warm too. I'm so disappointed. Would recommend only if someone does NOT have a high arch.

Comfortable and warm boots
I love these boots. They are waterproof and very warm as they have a fur lining inside. The size is true to fit. I bought them after Christmas and have worn them several times in freezing weather and they work great. I highly recommend if you are looking for a comfortable boot yet warm in freezing weather.
