For over 80 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

less than top quality plaid alignment
Shirt appears nice but key line in the plaid design is annoyingly misaligned where the center pleat on backside of shirt meets the yoke. It makes the shirt look like a "seconds" quality. It obviously would have take just a slight shift for the seamster to make the alignment, and thus finish, look perfect. It immediately noticeable when I glanced over the shirt for problems.

Great flannel shirt.
This flannel shirt is very well made. The colors are beautiful and the fabric is ultra soft. They come out of the clothes dryer looking good. The most important feature for me is that the sleeves are more than long enough. I’m 6’1” tall and need a minimum 35” sleeve. These shirts pass that test.

Well made shirt and quality fabric. The plaid was not aligned where the side seams are sew to the back of the shirt. The LL Bean reputation for quality did not meet my expectations.

Really like fit and feel. True soft flannel best for fall-spring weight in my opinion. 6’6” 230 and XL Tall fits fits nice. I layer a Henley underneath or just an undershirt and it wears well. I will buy another color way in this cut in the future.

My husband loves these shirts!
These are wonderful shirts for men that don’t have a spare tire around the middle. They fit closer to the body, unlike most flannel styles, so looks like they are tailored, yet still have a little room in the arms for guys that have fit arms. I wash on cool/warm and hang to dry, and then iron them (the label says not to) to get any wrinkles out and they look fantastic. I bought the Christmas red and green, and the beige and blue, and both are well made, wash beautifully, and look great.

Great Cold Weather Shirt
The flannel is very soft and comfortable to wear. The fit is still a little loose in the waist for a slim fit but not a deal breaker. Would unquestionably order again and recommend.

In a household of 3 tall men (6'2", 6'4" and 6'5"). The consensus is that LLBean tall sizes are a good fit for the arms but the shirt length is maybe a inch ir so too long.

Solid shirt. It's a very thick material and it's warm. The only thing is it is really too big. I think it's too long and it's baggy for a slim fit. I think if I buy another one I'll have to get a small but I always wear mediums.

Great shirt, but a bit too long in the torso
This is a very well made, soft and warm, flannel shirt sized to properly fit slender men. That said, I find the torso length to be longer than my preference as it comes clear down to the crotch of my pants and, as such, is longer than my coats...including my rain coat, which is a stupid error in design in my opinion. I'm going to keep it because otherwise the fit is great, but will likely have it shortened a couple of inches.
