For over 80 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

Excellent flannel shirt! I had been eyeing this colorway for awhile. The woman's is usually sold out in Antique Dress Stewart, so I purchased the men's. Perfect!

Doesn't Live Up It's Promise
I could always rely on LLBean products. Bean has been a "go-to" brand for me since 1975 and I hope this one is fluke. The shirt is fine, but given my size (6'3", 190), I always order a large "Slim Fit" in a "Tall" size which has always been a very good fit. The shape of the shirt is great, the flannel soft, but the sleeve length is much too short which basically means that I don't wear it since the sleeves fit too short on my wrists. I'll drop it in the local used clothing bin in hopes someone can wear it.

Vibrant colors, nice trim fit
Excellent lumberjack shirt with a trim, non-boxy fit. It washes nicely, shrinking a little bit and needing only a quick iron. I got a Medium for my husband who is 175 lbs., 6 ft 1 in., slender in the shoulders, heavier in the belly. The fit is great for him. The weight of the shirt is perfect for cool fall weather. He’s excited to wear it even though he doesn’t care about clothes. Basically it looks smart but feels comfortable.

Love LL Bean Flannel
Great fit and very comfortable. I have several other Scotch Plain shirts from L L Bean that I've had for many years that I wear all the time that are still in great shape. I expect this shirt to be the same.

Every man needs a flannel
For my husband who is tall but not big and tall, this worked great. It’s good quality and he likes the color / plaid. He got the black and red and it is not too loud- more subdued
