Check out these problems
These are cute-looking lanterns, but have serious design problems. First, once they close, they get stuck and are really hard to open again. I can barely reopen either of the lanterns I purchased for my grandchildren. I tried silicone but it didn't help. The kids cannot open them. Second, the 'lamp' does not go off when the flashlight switches on, so you have that light in your eyes. Third, the 'low power' lamp setting is much too bright for low-light needs like camp/tent bedtime. On the plus side, a great idea! Bright setting is wonderfully bright! Combo of handle and hanging clip works well.

Meets my high expectations for Bean
I haven't used this little light yet as there haven't been any blackouts or camping trips! But the item is beautifully designed and well made.

Bright
It helps to light up dark places were the overhead doesn't reach. I'm sure it would do well outside in the dark too. I like tat I can also use it as a flashlight as well as a mini lantern.

It’s ok
Purchased this for my son to take on scout camp. It is difficult to raise and lower the lantern piece. The flashlight is not that bright.
