Buy these boots
I bought these boots last month along with the Alagash handsewn chukkas. These are by far more comfortable. Not as handsome as the handsewns but I like the function over handsome any day. These boots are definitely not heavy work boots so don't expect for them to hold up daily hard trade work.

He loves them
My husband loves his new boots. He even said “They feel good,” as opposed to his usual seal of approval, which is, “They’re all right, I guess.” Seriously, his “good” is my “wow, so perfect.”

Great hiking shoes!
Great hiking shoes. Waterproof from walking through dew laden grass and low level streams. Very comfortable! Warm as well.

Great fitting
I bought a pair of these just over a year ago. Super happy with these boots from day one. Fit was perfect. Very true to size. Only wore these shoes in the fall and winter months. So , bought and received them in October of ‘23 and wore them thru March of ‘24. Just started wearing them again in late September. Just a couple days a week. In total , these boots haven’t really even been worn much at all. Well, just noticed that the bottom part of the sole is separating from middle (white) part of sole. Very upsetting being that they are a product of LL Bean. Just sent them back for an exchange the LL Bean’s expense. Will try another pair because i believe (hope) this was just a manuf. defect.

Short break-in required
Took a couple weeks of light hiking (mile or two every other day) to break-in my 7.5 EEs to my 7.5 EEE feet, but one month in they are almost as comfortable as sneakers!

great looking boot
Just got them today and am wearing them as I write this. I normally wear a size 9 but this boot is an 81/2 Glad I didn't buy a 9 as this boot is roomy with mid-weight merino wool socks and since they run a bit big they seem to be perfect for fall and winter. I think they will be very comfortable. Will hold out on a 5 star rating until I wear them a while

Dry, Durable, and Comfortable
Extremely durable and comfortable. I recently purchased these boots and wore them every day during a 10-day international trip walking/hiking in harsh summer weather conditions. My feet stayed dry and they never hurt. I definitely recommend breaking them in prior to any long walks/hikes.
