Dye Bleeds to other Garments in Wash
I bought these to serve as "dress up" jeans and liked how they fit and looked. Then they got washed. The leather patch sewed to the waistline oozed dye onto these pants and other garments in the wash. We first noticed the problem because of a rectangular stain on a pair of my wife's jeans in the same load. Then an inspection of the LL BeanFlex jeans showed us the culprit.
I found another one star review from 2022 with the same problem. I bought my jeans in late 2024. Why is LLBean still buying these laundry day disasters and selling them to us?

Inconsistent Fit
I purchased several items. When they fit, I rate them at 5 stars. The problem is that there is quite a bit of inconsistency in the fit of the same item in the same size. When I tried on 2 or 3 of the same item in the same size (this goes for shirts, khakis, and jeans), they each fit differently. The difference can be as much as 1 inch or more, and it can be in different areas of the garment. This makes buying on-line challenging. A couple of times I tried my size in a color I didn't like in the store to confirm fit, and then ordered the color I wanted on-line only to find the item I ordered fits differently than the same sized item in the store. I'm finding this is not limited to LL Bean. I encountered the same issue with other major brands as well as store brands.

The ultimate in comfort
Jeans have never been more comfortable. You can go for a waist size 1 size smaller than your regular size. I normally wear a 44 in khakis, but a 42 in these jeans fit perfectly. There is plenty of stretch in the waist to get them on easily and comfortably.

Incorrect size tag
Ordered 36 x 30. The tag states it is 30 inches long. When tried on and measured, inseam is almost 32 inches.

Favorite Jeans Ever!
I’ve probably been through a dozen of these and can say without a doubt they fit and feel better than any jeans I’ve ever had and haven’t found anything close. They also hold their shape between washes amazingly well so great for travel. My only complaint is they do shrink if worn frequently (which is the only reason I’ve had to replace so many—durability is totally fine) BUT worth it for whatever material these things are made of even if it does get a little expensive over time. I also like jeans to fit with no break so love the ‘28 inseam offering (fits like a ‘29 or even ‘30 in other brands). Please don’t change a thing or ever discontinue!

If you buy one you will buy more…the best!!!
These are the only jeans i will ever buy from here on out. They are made of a very durable denim. Slight strength but not a lot. The inseam room is unlike any that I have found anywhere else. Lastly they just look normal…which is so hard to find. Just buy a pair, I promise you will buy more.

I was delighted to discover jeans that fit me as an old man no longer as athletically built or as tall as I once was. (They would also be great for someone young and athletic.) The size recommended by the online sizing tool (35" waist) seemed unintuitively small but was right on. The stretchiness in the fabric is comfortable without being too much, and I appreciate that these are offered in a 28-inch length. I am 5'7-1/2" tall (once 5'9") and weigh 194 lb. These fit me comfortably below the waist and without threatening to slide down in the back. I ended up buying these in three colors, and they are now staples in my casual wardrobe. I am happy with the fit, comfort, fabric, and look.
