Our newest upland hunting coat features classic waxed-cotton with a modern twist: it's machine washable. Working with British Millerain, we designed this fabric to be tossed into a washing machine without losing any of its great qualities.
There's nothing like the classic ruggedness of waxed cotton. The only drawback is the time-consuming process of cleaning by hand after you've had it in the field a few times. We worked with the originator of waxed cotton, British Millerain, to develop this innovative fabric that eliminates all cleaning fuss. Just throw it in the wash like any other piece of clothing. It'll come out looking just as good and with all of its durability and water resistance 100% intact.

- Upper hand warmer pockets for cradling shotgun; reverse welt helps keep water and debris out.
- Fully adjustable cuffs.

- Large, lined front entry game pouch holds 3 or 4 large upland birds like pheasant.

Great features: shell loops inside pockets, lower pockets have flaps, heavy duty zipper, slide in pocket to carry a shotgun over your elbow, game pocket, wind proof.

Not sure of others examples but mine was a solid miss. The collar was not waxed, yet very sticky/tacky to the touch. Fabric quality seemed well below what I’ve grown to expect from Bean during my 40+ years of buying and wearing their clothes and using their gear. Flimsy fabric, wax was irregularly applied and coat felt cheap overall.

Nice outdoor activity jacket.
Jacket feels sturdy and rugged to wear in cooler weather. I have not worn it in the rain to see how well it repels water. Overall I think it is a nice autumn winter jacket.
