This women's PFD contains a foam insert that adds comfort when paddling in recreational kayaks with high-back seats.
Because most PFDs aren't very comfortable to wear while seated, people tend to use them as seats or strap them onto the deck of their boat. The Comfort Back PFD is so comfortable you'll want to keep it on while sitting in your kayak seat. You'll barely feel the thin foam between your back and the seat.
- Flotation provided by lightweight polyethylene foam.
- Shell is made from high-tenacity 200-denier nylon.
- Eight adjustment straps provide a customized fit.
- US Coast Guard-approved Type III PFD.

Too hard to zip
It is too hard to zip this life jacket closed due to the placement of the zipper. I had to loosen the straps very much to be able to zip it, but I wouldn't want to loosen all the straps just to be able to zip it up each time. Returned.

Poor quality
I wanted to update my old version of this vest. However, there is not elastic to ensure the zipper does not fall down. (I ordered my son this style in mens and without the elastic the zipper easlity falls down). Also, it no longer has the buckle strap at the bottom so as a result, it is not as secure expecially since the zipper can easlity fall down. Very dissappointed in the decrease in quality.

Yikes.... this is going back! It is difficult to zip and it is extremely bulky and weird. It felt like I had 2 on at the same time.

Good for kayaking
This is a great life vest for kayaking. The arm holes are large enough so that your arms do not rub on the vest. Also, not to bulky.

Too Bulky
I purchased an LL Bean Comfort Back life vest a few years ago and have loved it. After gaining some weight, I decided to order the vest in a larger size. I am so disappointed with the new vest. It fits okay, but is much bulkier in the front and feels stiff compared to my other vest. I can't imagine kayaking with this vest on. The zipper is also difficult to zip up. LL Bean changed the design, and it's wasn't for the better. Sadly, I'm returning it.

Comfortable and great fit
The vest is very comfortable and is adjustable in many ways to get the perfect fit. The color is great. I was so pleased to find so many pockets available on the vest as well. Worth every penny!
