When our designers saw a photo of a USA team member wearing an L.L.Bean fleece on the historic 1990 Mount Everest International Peace Climb, they had to recreate it. They combined the distinctive collar, classic pocket and contrast trim with plush, hi-pile fleece to create our softest jacket ever, with just-right breathability, warmth - and adventurous spirit.

Collar too stiff for me
Hard to see in the pictures, but the back of the neck is reinforced with a stiffer, flat material on the outside. This keeps the collar standing up stiffly, which did not feel as comfortable to me. I tried a regular Small and a regular Medium; I'm 5'4" and 135 lbs and the small was too small and the medium too big. The sleeves were maybe a touch long too- maybe a petite Medium would have fit better? But the standing-up collar would still be a dealbreaker for me. I tried the blue and the green and they're lovely colors, soft like marshmallows, and seemed very warm.

Love this fleece sweater!
I wore this right away when I received it! The petite medium fits me perfectly! I bought the grey color and it’s neutral and sophisticated. I like that the sleeves and the length of the sweater are perfect for me in the petite medium!

Lovely exception for the laundering process
Very cozy and comfortable. I wish I'd read the washing instructions prior to purchase as it's an air dry or no heat in the dryer item. I not only have two dogs that shed like crazy making the tumble dry a necessity but remembering to separate it out after the wash cycle is a pain which is why I gave it one less star.

Love this soft snuggly
This is by far the best purchase from LLB I've ever made! This is so soft, warm and snuggly both inside and out. TTS. I'm 5'1 and 95 lbs and XS is perfect to layer a tshirt underneath. Nice fitted and long length. Not boxy. Wish there were other colors like purple and yellow. The green is a gorgeous color. Can layer a jacket over too
