These are fantastic shorts for all kinds of activities, from whitewater rafting to giving the dog a bath. Very comfortable and nice enough looking. Fit is a little large, but not large enough to fall off. This is my 3rd or 4th pair of these.

I had no idea that they came with a inner mesh lining. When worn the infamouse butt crack occurs.
I cutout the inner mesh and the short were good for playing tennis and pockets were big enough to stow tennis balls.

First pair I bought great, next two not so much.
Bought a pair of these a couple years ago, absolutely love them, the material is great and the strings are awesome. I bought two pairs last year and the material has definitely gotten cheaper. The drawstrings are not the same either. For the same money they should've stuck with the same quality they had in the first version.

I've owned several pairs of these shorts over the years. Each year, the quality and fit of the shorts changes. The back pocket used to have a flap that closed with two velcro squares. Now there is no flap for the back pocket and only one velcro square to close the pocket. The shorts also fit widely differently from year to year. Over the years, I've worn a size M and a size L. This year neither a M or a L fit with the M being too small and the L being too big. I compared to a couple of older pairs of the same shorts to verify the change in fit over the years. This change in fit is consistent with a change in country where the shorts are made. Unfortunately, it appears I have purchased my last pair of these shorts due to decreasing quality and lack of consistency in sizing.

Men's Classic Supplex Sport Short
Fits well. Adjustable drawstring keeps shorts snug. Very comfortable and versatile short. I wear these for workouts at the gym, the beach and as a casual short. Have received compliments on them too. Fabric washes and wears well.

Okay but not what he was looking for
My 80-year-old husband bought these because he needed a new pair of swim trunks. He felt the fabric was lighter weight than he wanted and he needed more elastic in the waistband. The quality was good, but it just wasn't what he was looking for and we sent them back.

Fine shorts - hate the logo
Shorts are fine. I hate the Katahdin logo. Why not a subtle logo? I have a pair of L.L. Bean sport shorts from a few years ago that had a subtle logo. That was fine. This "in you face" Katahdin logo is not. I would buy more L.L. Bean clothes if they didn't have the Katahdin logo on them.

What's happening to LL Bean? LOUSY SWIM SUIT
Bought as a replacement to similar swim suit. BAD IDEA. This one: 1) has no front closure, 2) no zipper fly, 3) no key strap in front pocket, 4) size L wouldn't fit over my butt (I've weighed the same for 20 years). Please REFUND POSTAGE (both ways)
