Small and not too heavy - love the zoom. Makes me feel much safer walking dog at night - can zero in for pickups and wide lens to check for coyotes and bears!!

The Best Little and Mighty Flashlight

No lanyard
Great light but no way to attach it to a lanyard. Wish I had noticed this before I purchased. Most manufacturers of these small lights have a ring to attach a strap or lanyard.

whoda thunk I'd find the 'tactical' flashlight at LL Bean that I couldn't find elsewhere which was exactly what I was looking for, features, size, battery life. The purity of the beam throw at any 'zoom level' is remarkable, just even white light. Brightness levels are well-thought out, as are zoom distances and switch operation. Plenty durable, I'm sure the body will outlast the LED.

BRIGHT! Love this light!
Love the Trailblazer Zoom Flashlight for walking the dog. My 3 year-old grand-daughter found it - and happily zooms in and out - announcing "big circle" and "little circle"!
And Kudos to the L.L.Bean chat support! The flashlight "accidentally" went into SOS mode (I think this had something to do with my grand-daughter :) - but then I couldn't figure out how to turn the SOS function on again after turning off the flashlight. A quick "chat" and question answered!
I am purchasing more of these as gifts!

Great flashligh after bad first impression
Flashlight is great. I ordered two and one barely worked out of the box. It turns out one of the batteries was dead on arrival. After replacing, it was as good at the other one.

The package is impossible to open.
It is impossible for me to open this package to get out the batteries and the flashlight. I plan to take it to our local LLBean store and have them open it. Hopefully they have good heavy duty scissors! Beware when you order this one. Not sure why LLBean changes it’s selections. Two years ago I ordered 2 for myself and 4 for grandsons, a different type...smaller and they still work. Batteries were in them and ready to go. I was hoping I was ordering the kind I ordered 2 years ago. They were more user friendly. I really can’t evaluate this flashlight because I cannot get it out of it’s package.

Good choice
We reviewed several small flashlights for use around the house as well as to put in our car. The Trailblazer light fits our needs perfectly. It is small, but it is bright. Unfortunately, one has been dropped but with no ill effects, thank goodness.

Handy and helpful
I love this flashlight - size and function.
I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because I did not know how to change the light settings? There were no instructions about that. That is disappointing. I even tried again now but could not figure it out. :( - otherwise, it is a very nice little light to keep around.

Hate the 4 modes
The problem with the flashlight is that it has 4 modes. It is really hard to know which mode comes on when you turn on the flashlight. The blinking mode is pretty much useless. And for most uses, you just want on or off. The modes are a pain in the neck.

My don saw our ll bean flash light. Loved the brightness of it. I couldn’t get that same one, but we ordered this one not knowing if it was the same. He is thrilled, it is just as bright and durable. It is a rugged flashlight.

Love it
I love this flashlight. It’s actually the second one I’ve bought, since I lost my first one. It’s that good that I bought the exact same one.
It fits nicely in my hand, has a good weight to it- sturdy but not too heavy. It has a much better feel in my hand than cheaper plastic versions. I like the zoom focus feature and the three different light settings.
I bought this for a trip to the Grand Canyon, which is incredibly dark at night. It was great.
I would buy a third one if I lost this one. But hopefully that doesn’t happen!

Fantastic Zoom
This little guy lets you see things from quite a distance. I spent a summer on a mountaintop in Vermont. It was always pitch black at night. I loved using this flashlight. My friends loved it too.
