That's why we designed our L.L.Bean Base Layers to take the guesswork out of finding the right weight, or fabric, or fit. These midweight base layer pants are our most versatile--we love layering them under our hiking pants on the trail, or under snow pants for that first snowshoe of the season.
- Wicks away moisture and dries quickly for on-the-move comfort.
- Treated with an anti-microbial finish to resist odor.
- Blend of 54% polyester, 40% recycled polyester and 6% Elastane to reduce impact on the environment.
- Machine wash and dry.

No complaints!
Perfectly happy with these. I like the wide waist band in particular. I’m wearing them under oversize fleece lined soft shell pants for winter walks/hiking when it’s under around 20° and find that to be a very comfortable combo. Before or after I’ll wear them for some at home yoga as well. They’re not super stretchy for that, but that’s not their intended use, and they’re a lot more compatible than other winter bottoms when transitioning activities.

Best base layer
I have base layers in mid weight and heavy weight, which I wear depending on weather conditions and outer layers. LL Bean base layers are great. Warm, durable, comfortable.

These Keep You Warm
I have 2 pairs of these and they work great under pants when it is cold outside plus just to wear around the house too, I also got a pair for my daughter and she lives where it is cold in the winter and she loves them too.
