Lightweight and Warm
I like everything about this coat except it doesn't have a two way zipper. Otherwise it would get 5 stars for being lightweight but warm, wind and waterproof. Wore it in the Arctic in March and it kept me warm even on the deck of a ship at night.

Almost perfect
This jacket is a bit longer and bigger the unlined waterproof shell I have from LLBean, which is good as I wear it with the sweater fleece jacket. With both of those, it is warm enough in weather in the 30s with wind. The zip pockets are big enough for fleece gloves and hat and the inside pockets useful too. I would only question why the knit cuffs as well as velcro at the sleeve hem? If you need enough cooling for zip pits, you probably want the option of the chimney effect of air through the sleeves too. I may trim them off, but will see about how I feel in warmer weather. Have not had much waterproof testing as yet, but so far so good.

Great little jacket.
I originally bought this jacket about three years ago in purple. Aside from day-to-day use and let’s say spring or autumn here in New York. I bought it primarily for travel. Was perfect going to Iceland in September and Alaska in August. Leaving soon to take another trip to Japan and I got the The off-white color because I wanted it to be a little bit more spring looking. I have definitely worn it in the rain and I was dry. Yay!

Disappointed with quality
I bought this jacket 4 years ago. Initially I was delighted. It was warm and had plenty of room to add warm layers. I loved the lightweight packability and many secure pockets. Initially, it was very waterproof. But in the past few months, the waterproof is failing. I noticed the inside felt a little clammy after a downpour whereas in the past, I was toasty warm and dry. I thought I could stil use it as long as it didn’t rain. However, the final straw was when the zipper broke. It no longer zips closed. Sadly, the famed high quality, long lasting clothes are no more.

Many great features, falls short on warmth
I have a love hate relationship with this jacket
This jacket has so many great features, some you don't even notice at first. The jacket has pit zips so if you are overheating, you can uzip to cool off without compromising wind or rain resistance. The wrist cuffs form a nice seal to keep drafts out. I like that velcro is not used anywhere. The jacket is wind resistant and really stops wind from cutting through on a 40-60 mph gusty day.
However, it is not at all warm. I am cold when I wear this jacket and I am usually too hot in a jacket. That is saying a lot. I don't need a lot of insulation to stay warm in the winter and this coat does not keep me warm.
Also, since it is an attractive form fit, it is hard to wear layers without looking like Ralphie from "A Christmas Story")
The fabric is good a resisting wind and rain but it has a strong tendency to pill. This is very irritating in a $250 jacket. The fabric should be more durable.
I wish the zipper came up from the bottom but the zippers in the back help with that (Hint, I'd prefer the 2 way zipper over the 2 butt zippers)
I love the color (I ordered teal) and the cut is flattering even though it doesn't look great once you layer it to stay warm.
I've thought often about returning this coat but there isn't anything this attractive.
I'd recommend this jacket with reservations. It is good at blocking wind and looks good doing it, but if you are not moving around, you better layer up and order a size bigger otherwise you're going to freeze

Great Jacket
This is the third time I have purchased this same jacket. It fits well, is incredibly comfortable, warm enough for all but the coldest weather and looks great. I have recommended it to other friends. I purchased a Petite Medium which fits well even over layers.

Multi-purpose jacket
The perfect in-between jacket for a northeast winter. I like the lighter weight and the fact that it's waterproof. With its packability it will become my favorite travel jacket as well.

Love, love this jacket!
This is the most comfortable waterproof jacket I've ever worn...soft & quiet...packable..fits nicely over a thin down jacket when temps get brutal. I actually bought this jacket to replace an identical one I bought 8 years ago..it's traveled overseas and on dailing outings to our dog park...keeps me dry & warm & looking good!

Best waterproof packaway jacket ever!
LOVE this jacket!!! It's extremely well-made and comfortable. I purchased the blue color, which I love, in a medium petite. It fits perfectly. Alot of thought went into the design of this jacket. I bought this for an upcoming trip to Ireland in anticipation of cool, damp weather and for walking my dog. I actually look forward to wearing it!

Excellent for travel adventures
Just bought this jacket for a winter trip to Iceland. With fleece underneath, was perfectly warm and dry even in high winds and hail. Love the light weight and the packable option. The one thing I would add would be a double zipper so it could be loosened for ice caving and other more active pursuits, but highly recommend snyway.

I love everything about this jacket: the fit, sleeve length, sleeve cuffs, deep pockets, light weight yet amazing warm and waterproof, the length, et al! Great for travel and every day winter needs. I purchased a large, regular and it’s perfect! Extra room for an additional layer if needed.

Impressive!
Was convinced I would have buyers remorse but went ahead and bought this for a trip next fall to a damp, cold, rainy clime. Started wearing it this winter and am incredibly surprised how warm I’ve been in temps from the mid to high teens to low 30s, in damp and windy weather. Incredibly lightweight, the wind doesn’t penetrate. All it takes is a sweater underneath and I’m good to go. Never wrote a review before, but then never had a coat like this before either. Hope it lasts and lasts as it costs a pretty penny! Thought not having a double zipper would be a drawback but it’s fine, less of a struggle zipping it up and it’s not restricting in the car. Love the pockets too. This jacket has it all for me.

Perfect except for one tiny thing
I purchased this jacket for a February trip to Iceland so I could hopefully be warm while still complying with the tour company requirement of a carry on bag. A friend talked me into trying this jacket out, but I was skeptical that something that didn't make me look like the Michelin Man would keep me warm. As it happened, I was warm the entire trip with just a base layer, R1 shirt, and this jacket with temperatures in the 30s and up to 50 mile per hour winds for a "feels like" temperature in the low 20s. It has good pockets including a giant one to fold the jacket into, the ability to cinch a waist line on the inside, wrist cuffs, pit zips, side zips for movement, and the ability to tighten the hood. The one tiny thing is I wish it had a double zipper. I purchased an XL to handle multiple layers, but I think a L would have worked for me as I didn't need to wear as many layers as I had planned. This is a great jacket.

All season special!
I had a very similar jacket from years ago and I’m glad I found this one. Not exactly the same but close enough to know I’ll love it for years! Only negative which is bearable is how hard it is to turn it into the pouch that’s built in🤨

All the right stuff
LOVE this jacket for our MN winters. So easy to wear without all the puffiness. Long sleeveswith wristbands, over the hip length, and high zip front keep out the wind and cold. Nicely shaped at the waist but not tight.

So happy with the vents on a daily-use coat!
I'm a big fan of this coat, having used it for about 6 weeks now. I LOVE the under-arm and back vents. Most waterproof/windproof winter coats, rain jackets, etc. are far too warm for me - I tend to run [very] hot, but most coats with vents are too "athletic" for daily use. This coat strikes the right balance for my particular temperature-regulation quirks as a pretty active woman working in an office environment.

Really love this jacket!
I have been a diehard fan of the lined trail model rain jacket that LLBean no longer makes - I bought 5 of them for family members and myself. Sadly, my zipper on my lined trail model rain jacket no longer works and I was seriously looking for a new equivalent jacket. I live in coastal Alaska, and I use a three season jacket year-round. I am excited to find that this primaloft packaway jacket will fill this critical niche. I need something warm enough to wear on 34-40 degree days for dog walks, but light enough to cross-country ski in when a shell is too cold (sure you can layer, but it gets bulky quick) and a winter coat is WAY too warm. This jacket (like my lined trail model jacket) fits the bill. For this primaloft packaway jacket, I love the massive inside pocket (the packaway pocket) because it easily carries my wallet and has a zipper. The hood has a hard line in the front which prevents the rain from sagging my hood (which is a problem in another more expensive brand shell I have). The lined inside is a nice weight, and I love, love, love the pit zips - perfect for cross country skiing. It also has two back/side zippers for greater freedom of movement that I appreciate - larger range of movement when skiing but able to zip it closed when it's really blowing and rainy. It's pricier than my trail model jacket was, but given that this is the only similar option, I'm thrilled with the good fit, comfort, and waterproof qualities of this primaloft packaway jacket. I bought a petite medium which gives me enough room to layer under a little bit and long enough in the arms and body for good rain coverage. Honestly, I like the jacket enough to think about buying another one soon in case LLBean decides to discontinue this one in the future.

Easy packing
I put this jacket to the test with the latest storm.
It started with snow, followed by heavy rain with high winds . This jacket performed as advertised , kept me dry, stood up to the wind keeping me warm. It’s light and flexible making it quite comfortable. It’s now my go to jacket in all weather. I won’t travel without it
