I bought this gown in xs blackwatch. I gave it a wash before wearing. Took measurements before washing in cold water, hanging to dry with a 10 min fluff in the dryer on low. The gown shrank by 1.5 inches in length. Happily the sleeves did not shrink. Still disappointing considering the cost of the item. I would return if I could find an alternative. At the very least these gowns could be made longer initially if some shrinkage is expected.

Very disappointed in quality of fabric
The fabric in this gown is as thin as that in my old flannel gown, which become thin after many years' wear and which I'd hoped to replace. I sent this one back the next day.
The size recommendation was way off; it hung to my feet and covered my hands.

Completely different quality; feels thin and cheap
Every few years or so I treat myself to a new LL Bean flannel nightgown, and Iv'e been doing this for going on...seems like two decades now. I just bought a new one and was shocked. Instead of that thick, soft, sturdy flannel, it's cheap thin stuff that feels almost like twill. It's also cut smaller -- tight in the arms and back -- than one I bought last year. I can't imagine this thing lasting in the dryer for long, and I guess that's the point, eh, L.L. Bean? Anything to make a few more bucks. Such a shame. It sounds silly, but I feel absurdly betrayed, because I thought I could take the quality of this particular product for granted. Just felt I should share this in case other shoppers, like me, are used to purchasing the same nightgowns. This isn't it.

Feels Like a Hug
I am glad to see the pin-tucked flannel nightgowns are back, but wish that Bean would make them in other than plaid. Formerly they were old-fashioned Victorian type prints. Formerly as in quite a while. Still happily using. The flannel in this new one is lighter and softer. Sure it will stand up as long. I am small and two inches longer in length would have been a problem. Haven't washed it yet, though. It is more than ample and very cozy! Worth the price.
