- With light or midweight socks: Whole sizes, order one size down. Half sizes, order 1½ size down. Example: 9 or 9½, order a size 8. With heavyweight socks: Whole sizes, order your normal size. Half sizes, order one size down. Example: 9 or 9½, order a size 9.

poor quality
I have had 2 pair of these boots in the last 4 years and both have fallen apart withing 13-24 months of normal use, the souls also wear out super fast and become very slippery, sad times for L.L.Bean quality is Poor, no more for me,fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Love the book. Quality materials. Strong stitching; although, the leather inside should be folded downward at the ankle to create a smoother and more comfortable fit.

Great Product but Sizing
Great product, but if your a 12 like me buy a 11. Buy a size smaller than what you are. They run large. However overall it is a amazing and comfortable product.

I bought Gumshoes 4 yrs ago and they came with padded collar. Love 'em, wanted a taller boot for more extreme wear, so I bought the 8" tumbled leather with padded collar. The size, fit, construction and craftsmanship are known and proven as a previous owner.

Bean Boot Lacks Comfort
Although practical there is little comfort to this boot for the cost given the flat bottom. Might want to consider adding a cushioned insole?
