Zipper Splits just over a Yr. of having 2nd one!
This is my second one I have purchased! The zipper has broken/Split on each one of them. First, I bought on 10/7/2018, the zipper split, the second one I bought on 5/18/2021, and zipper split again, it's just over one year old. My husband loves these bags for his lunch as he travels. Many of his workers have asked him, where he got it, as they loved it, but he explained the zipper breaks. Very expensive, for a bag that doesn't last long at all! :(

Medium size insulated khaki tote
I have been visiting this tote on the LL Bean website for years and could not be more pleased that I finally pulled the trigger. It was purchased for car trips and picnics and will easily hold enough for two adults (large ice pack, four canned drinks, sandwiches, veggies, chips, dip, utensils, etc.). The insulation is THICK and unless you pack something pokey like a knife or bottle opener, it shouldnt tare or rip.
The tote is well thought out and durable. The leather detailing makes it all the more special. The profile is slim so you dont look like youre carrying a sack of bowling balls to your table, blanket or towel and I dont foresee ever needing to replace it because it seems built to last.
100% recommend to fans of quality, craftsmanship and durability. I LOVE IT.

outstanding!!!!!
My husband received this bag several years ago. He takes it to work EVERY day........there are NO signs of wear and tear at all. It was looking dirty so I scrubbed it with a firm brush and mild detergent. OMG the bag looks BRAND NEW....OUTSTANDING!

Great tote for the beach or road trips!
This is the 2nd one of these totes I've purchased. I got one for myself about a year ago and now this one for my son and his girlfriend for Christmas. It's great for the beach.... easy to carry, keeps drinks cold, even after being in the heat for a few hours. I also like the side pockets for my phone and keys.

Job site lunch bag
I got this for work and it’s perfect for on the job site lunches, it holds a water, a sandwich, snacks, ice and doesn’t leak. Not to mention it’s easier to lug around than those big square ones. Love it.

Insulated Waxed Canvas Tote Medium
Excellent strong bag to use for a few cold groceries, a picnic, lunch or dinner take out. I cannot rate how long things stay cold but just add a freeze bag to it. This will last a lifetime, unlike those cold grocery bags but its too nice to take shopping. I leave it in the car and put cold things in it.

LL Bean, are you kidding?
How on earth is it that the size designated as "medium" is actually *medium*?
Had I kept it I would have been embarrassed taking it to work and telling those interested in what was in it was my lunch. I could never fill the bag with what I eat for lunch!
BTW - the "small" bag wouldn't even carry the number of bottles of water I drink while I'm at work. Totally useless.
Make the "medium" bag 1/3 smaller and I will purchase.

Great, useful purchase!
I bought this as a gift for my son, who is a contractor and carries his lunch to work in his truck every day. He loves it! Every day, he carries 2 or 3 large Nalgene water bottles, a large sandwich or a warm lunch in a thermos, plus morning and afternoon snacks. He use every day for a year and it is tough and easy to clean. Good design, attractive and useful. Outperforms all other lunch carriers.

Quite a Nice Lunch Bag!
I like this bag quite a lot. It's a HAIR smaller than I had hoped, but it still does the job. The handles and strap are excellent and the lining is quite thick inside. Yes, it needs a deeper pocket on the outside- please do and in fact one on each side, deep, would come in handy. I recently got a trainer and travel with my food. I'm able to put three large meals inside and a drink. I still might buy the large size, so I can have a bigger one. I put two large blue frozen ice chunks and things stay nice and cold. All in all, I love this bag and am very happy. It looks great too- rugged and sturdy, trendy too.

Well made, rugged, looks good. I multi use it for overnight bag, cooler, put my “stuff” in to grab and go when too much to carry ( phone chargers, cords, papers, snacks or anything that I need to grab and take) I like it, no regrets here. Use it daily

Best waterproof bag on the market
I carry a thermos to work and boy does this keep it warm! The style is on point but wax canvas is more than sheek, its durable and very waterproof. I dropped this in a vat of solvent and it just floated on top, zero solvent soaked into the bag, it just brushed off with no harm done. After a few months of abuse I did need to re-wax it to keep things water tight. HT Fabric Wax is the best if you can get it. L.L Bean is upping their game.

High quality attractive tote
There’s no concern that this very thickly insulated tote would ever lose it’s ability to stand up while empty. Also no worries of breaking the very thick, comfortable leather wrapped handles. As far as size goes, expect that 16 regular sized pop cans will easily fit in the fully plastic lined interior. As mentioned by other reviewers, the exterior shows superficial scratches very easily. That’s the unavoidable nature of retro waxed canvas and it’s part of the character.
