A perfect jacket for Michigan
This fall I was fortunate to visit L.L.Bean's mothership in Freeport Maine. I bought the 3-in-one sweater jacket to replace my other L.L.Bean 3-in- one jacket. It appears to have the same quality I've come to expect from LL.Bean and I look forward to wearing it once this un-seasonable, but welcome, weather turns cooler.

The seams came apart down the side from the armpit. It can't be sewn what a waste of my money. I've never purchased anything from LL.Bean that wasn't worth the money, but this coat certainly isn't.

Love the color and the construction
I got the teal and just love the color. One note: the pics for this item make it look like you are getting a zip sweater that goes under a windbreaker, which of course you do. But when I opened it, I was surprised to see that the zip of the sweater actually zips directly into the windbreaker, with a couple of snap loops to hold the sleeves and collar in place. Very nice! Like another commenter, I expect to use this more as two separate pieces, but this attention to detail helps explain the price for this item.

Great 3-in-1 Jacket
The color (true teal) is beautiful. I wanted a windbreaker and I believe I will mainly use this without insert. BUT I love the insert to wear separately. It’s stylish on its own. I am more comfortable when I wear large…no restrictions around my arms. BUT I probably could use a medium in the teal jacket, but the sweater insert would have been too tight in medium, so I have no problem keeping the large. Nice to know that on a blustery day I can zip in the insert. The hood is a hood and I don’t need it tight around my face. I love this jacket.

Love the coat/ jacket but the hood is useless. It covers the eyes and if you Try to loosen it, it let's air in..
