Our premium ultrasoft cotton flannel pajamas, in just the right weight to stay warm and cozy without overheating.
An L.L.Bean exclusive, our plush flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.
- Brushed on both sides for superior softness and warmth.
- Authentic yarn-dyed tartans stay vibrant and colorful.

Old favorites and a new plaid
My husband is very tall and has always bought his pajamas, always the plaid version, from L.L. Bean, for at least 40 years. It takes a long time for them to wear out, but one pair they did a year ago in the spring, so he got a pair of the Scotch plaid flannel pajamas for Christmas in a different blue plaid then before. He just loves those blue plants offered by Beans They are just as high-quality, comfortable, and great fitting as the ones he’s had over the decades. Can’t say enough wonderful things about these amazing men’s flannel pajamas.i

Too Large and Quite Thinner
L.L. Bean flannel pajamas have really changed. I have long bought regular medium flannel pajamas, but these didn't fit at all. The color was great, but the arms and legs on this pair were much too long--and this was in a regular medium. Additionally, the pajamas are much thinner than L.L. Bean flannel pajamas from previous years. Unfortunately, I had to send them back.

Best flannel pajamas!
My husbands old pair finally wore out and we needed to replace them. I was slightly startled by the price of this pair til I realized he had worn the old pair nightly for four successive winters! A classic case of you get what you pay for! This new pair is such a lovely plaid and the Bean flannel is, as always, amazingly soft and warm. Happy husband, happy wife. Oh, and I forgot to mention, how wonderful that they now come in lengths!

Seams failing.

Low quality - Doesn't last AT ALL
I bought a pair of these for myself in November 2023, and then unexpectedly got another pair as a gift for christmas. They BOTH ripped, in the same spot (across the behind, NOT EVEN ON A SEAM) before the winter was over. I figured it was a fluke since LL Bean is known for high quality products, but no. I got another pair in November 2024 and it didn't even make it through January of this year. I'd swear them off if I knew of ANY brand that actually lasted.
