Shorts are fine, but sizing is way off
According to their measurements, I take a 20W, but to be safe, I also ordered a 22W. Both were huge. The 20 could work with a belt, but after they stretch they would be super baggy. Plus, I ordered the red, the green and the beige. In the 20, the red was gigantic, the green was ok, the beige fit (still a bit loose, but I'm ok with that for a light/semi see through color). So, not even within a size is the sizing consistent. The material is soft. The legs are wide. The shorts overall are frumpy. But, if you can find a size that fits, they should be comfortable.

These shorts are great. They are the first pants from LL Bean in a long time that actually fit me. I like the fabrid ( just enough stretch), the color, the length... all good.

Best fitting shorts in my entire life!
I've never worn shorts so comfortable. All my other shorts are always trying to crawl up my privates, and I have to keep yanking on the legs. These are not only comfortable, but the fabric is thick! And so so soft. I'm thrilled with this purchase. They're a ridiculous price, and I don't even care. I bought a second pair as soon as I tried these on.
I think it's a silly idea to use blue fabric for pockets on a pair of stone colored pants, but they're so thick it only barely shows through.

Best Shorts
I'm generally not a big fan of shorts because I haven't found many that fit well and are comfortable. No more! These check all the boxes. They look tailored and stylish, and have enough stretch to almost feel like stretchy workout shorts. The waist has a comfortable give for my north of middle aged belly without any unattractive elastic. Based on the size chart for these I was sure I'd have to size up at least to a 6, but after trying on sizes 4-8, turned out my normal size 4 fit the best. The 6 also looked fine, not too big at all, just a bit of a looser fit everywhere.

Reviews aren't always correct!
Please see the review I left for the seersucker version of these shorts. The issue was the same: reviews said these were tight, so to order a size larger than you normally did. Nope. HUGE on me, and reordering will miss the event I was buying all these things for.
