Too high in waist.
These pants were beautifully made and just what I wanted but the waist came up over my ribs. I think they would have fit nicely except for that. As a 30 year Bean shopper I’ve worn classic fit until recently. Then I discovered the lower cut fit well, as in the linen wide leg pants. So I’m not sure why these didn’t fit the same. They seemed great pants.

Updated fabric not an improvement
I have bought these pants for years. The most recent time I noticed that the fabric is very different from before and now the pants are made in Indonesia instead of India.
The blend is almost the same (98/2 cotton/spandex vs 97/3 cotton/spandex) but the fabric is now much more stretchy - not at all a classic chino fabric. The pants are shorter than before. The worst thing is that the fabric pills wherever there is friction (e.g., crotch) and wears out very quickly. It's a huge disappointment that these pants don't last as long as they used to. The cargo pants have the same fabric, with the same problem and are also made in Indonesia. I won't be buying these again until L.L. Bean returns to the previous formula.

Great length but fabric is thin and wrinkly
The good: availability of Med Tall sizes, great pockets, well constructed. My main issue is with the fabric. It is much thinner than I would expect in a chino. The result is a less polished, wrinkly, droopy pant. I also wish the leg openings were a little more slim. If they used a more substantial fabric, they would be 5 stars!

Comfort stretch pants
These pants are soothingly soft, comfortable with just the right amount of stretch, true to size, and a perfect fit. The pants length is ideal for a petite and did not have to be shortened. They launder well. Although advertised as “mineral red,” I would describe the color as salmon. They definitely do not mix/match with any red shirts or tees that I had hoped to wear them with.

Nicely made but…
When I see “Chino” in the name of the product, I think a more polished looking fabric than a medium twill. I was hoping for a crisper finish when ironing in a seam. After all, that’s the history of Chino’s as military wear. I assume that Chino’s will be tapered to the leg - not slim, but closer to the body than the legs on these pants. Too baggy for me. Too close to ivory colored denim.

At last, a comfortable street pant!
I appreciate the lower rise on these pants, as I find high rise uncomfortable, and high rise seems almost all that is available these days! They are well made and sturdy. The only thing I would like to be different is the leg styling—a bit wider leg, not so narrow at the bottom. (But then perhaps they wouldn’t be “chinos.”)vAnyway, they’re a very nice pant and I have a second pair now.
