Bring back older style of Riverton Pants
The new pants no longer have secure rear pockets with flap closer. No cell phone pockets. And always preferred the standard fit. I’ve cancelled my LL Bean visa as I feel LL Bean has drifted out of touch with functional utility clothing for regular folks with money and common sense. I would like to come back. Riverton Pants had a nice run for years I have tan, green, brown unlined and lined pants I’ve used for years hiking, work, and travels globally. It’s a shame.

Glad I read the Reviews Firsy
I've owned several pairs of these rugged and durable pants. They were wearing out, so I came online to order one or two new pairs. I'm so glad I read the reviews first, as I would not have been aware of some of the changes in the design/quality (on first glance, the only difference i noted was the absence of the flap pockets). I loved the old style and am holding off on purchasing in the hope that Bean will bring the old style back.

A huge disappointment
These pants are decent and well made, but a huge disappointment coming from the original (discontinued) Riverton pants. The pocket placement in particular is an issue. On the original ones, there was a side zipper pocket and a side drop-in pocket. They've removed those, putting all the pockets on the back, so you can't sit down with stuff in them. They're decent only for work if you'll be on your feet the whole time. The discontinued pants were great for everything from work to relaxing/ lounging around.
Also, there's some colors missing on these like Wood Bark and Platinum. I won't be buying another pair of these, though, sovI guess that's not an issue. The originals were both well-made and functional. These are still well-made, but as stated, far less functional. I really hope they bring the originals back. I was going to get the BeanFlex Cargos for now, but looks like they discontinued those too. Love LL Bean, and been buying theit stuff for decades. But sadly, I will have to look elsewhere for pants. At least for now.

Please bring back the old style! The fact that a diehard fanbase has all asked pretty much the same question should mean something. I really do not want to leave the brand that I have known and loved since i was a child to find a new pair of reliable pants that were absolutely perfect in fit, comfort, style, and POCEKT PLACEMENT!

Why mess with an amazing product
Pretty disappointed that this is the replacement for a true classic. My favorite, all time pants were the Riverton and now I have to look elsewhere or on ebay! LL Bean, listen to the people! Bring back the old classic!

Old Riverton Pants need to come back!!
I own 6 pair of the Riverton Pants with stretch. These are my go to work pants because they had a much better fit than carhartt. I am very disappointed they are no longer available and these new versions are the replacement. I will be looking elsewhere for similar pants.
