In 1936 when Leon Leonwood Bean first introduced these shoes, he compared them to the unique comfort of a handmade Native American moccasin. That soft, custom-made feel is still apparent in each shoe sewn today.

Blucher Mocs - Pretty Good.
Laces very bright and a little long. Would prefer understated leather. The wide is still rather narrow in the toe box.

Less than expected
Not a SHOE! Quite "light weight". Best used around the house. Shouldn't ware them to go outside or around the town. The sole is almost Thin. And who wants laces that are Screaming Yellow & Red?
But they are comfortable and do look good.

So Close to Great
The shoes are just fine. They run true to size and are well made. The reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they just didn't quite match my expectations.
Over the last 35+ years I purchased the Camp Moc (Dk. Brown) time and again. But it's been a couple of decades since I've owned the Blucher Moc and this pair left me wanting. It's the leather finish that had me consider returning them. To my eye it comes off a bit plastic and unremarkable. Sorry, I don't know how to better describe it. In the end I kept them and worked some conditioner into the leather to get rid of that somewhat "cheap" look and they're now what I was hoping for.
