We've taken our rugged ripstop shorts to the next level of comfort with an ultrasoft feel, a touch of stretch and a soft-knit elastic waistband.
- In a durable ripstop blend of 98% cotton with 2% spandex for just the right amount of stretch.
- Machine wash and dry.
- Side pockets and two back patch pockets with snaps.
- Faux-fly front.
- Roll from 10" to 7" inseam and secure with twill roll tabs and snaps.
- Comfortable knit waistband with adjustable drawstring.

Nice shorts... but
The shorts are very nice... but... they run a bit large. I'm 5'4" 115 lbs and the size small can slide off if I don't tightly tie the drawstring (but that's what the drawstring is for, right?). The pockets... ARGH... the pockets in front are not deep enough to securely carry an ID and a key. (Other Bean shorts have a little clip in a front pocket to secure a key). The back pockets are less secure. Overall, still a nice pair of shorts.

Shorts that fit loose
These shorts are very comfortable. They run a bit big to my way of thinking but as they are casual summer wear and our summers are very hot, it's not a problem.

These shorts are necessary.
These shorts replaced a pair I had for years and finally put a hole in. I also have two more in another color. I haven’t worn this pair yet but they look equally well-made.

Pro's: 98% cotton, they appear to be well made, adjustable length
Con's: High price, Fit is wonky--a bit short in the crotch and the legs are super-wide.
I'm keeping them, but for the price I expected better. I have much better fitting and looking shorts that I paid half as much for as I paid for these. For size reference, I am 5'7" and between 135-140 lbs. I bought a medium...if I were to purchase again, I would buy a large.

Love these shorts!
I’m a fan of ripstop pants and these are no exception. I would have given 5 stars but the front pockets are far too shallow to hold anything. Even my Kleenex falls out. Please put deep front pockets and you will have perfect shorts.
