Disappointing.Can't compare to Merrells
Ordered these to replace 10 year old Merrells that Bo purchased previously from LL Bean. Ordered the size 6. They were too tight across the toes with thin socks on. They were also extremely uncomfortable through the top that extends above the ankle. Worst hiking boots ever. Will find Merrells elsewhere. So disappointing.

Sensitive Feet People Beware!
They are sharp looking boots. They are extremely firm on the sole and the ankle areas. I’m sure they hold up well as my daughter has the same style. The insole is also very firm and caused me quite a bit of pain after a short walk. I had the same problem with another pair of boots I bought from Beans. I will try to break them in slowly and see if it improves. I was really looking forward to wearing them!

Women's Trail Model 4 Hiking Boots little tied
Overall nice looking shoe. True to size 7 for length. However, the design of this boot felt tied with uncomfortable pressure on top of my foot (above the arch of the foot).
