Great polo
Lovely material, reinforced stitching. High-quality buttons. Just got it so I can't comment how it will hold up with wear and washing but my past experience with L.L. Bean polos has been very good in this regard. I got the one with a pocket because it is a great place to park my eyeglasses when napping on an airplane.

The new/improved fit is less good
The "new improved" fit seems to me to be a step in the wrong direction. The bottom hem hangs lower, making it start to look like a sloppy teenager kind of statement

The shirts are lighter in weight
I have been buying these shirts for a while now and have been fairly happy with them. They always tear at the pocket and I've had to sew every one of them up numerous times. It got to the point that they were unsewable any more so I bought some more new shirts. I was very disappointed to discover that the new shirts weighed about a third less that the shirts I purchased originally. LL Bean's product quality is going down with everything it seems. All for a buck. I would have happily paid a couple bucks more for the original product but that wasn't offered.
