For nearly 90 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

Slightly fitted- better than regular but still a bit baggy. 5’09”/190. Not as heavy fabric as previous. First wash/dry, button placket came out all deformed and needed ironing- previous such flannels haven’t done this.

Can't beat L. L. Bean Flannel Shirts
L. L. BEAN offers the very best flannel shirts on the market. I wear the Scotch Plaid for the coldest weather even though over time they tend to shrink a little. I find the Wicked Good flannels overall are the best as they do not shrink and are more wrinkle free than any other flannel.
