For nearly 90 years, we've been making our authentic Scotch Plaid flannel shirts the way we always have: better than everyone else's. Our exclusive flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

I'm a woman and got a Men's M in this.I'm 5'4 and wt is 150 and the Men's M fits me perfectly! I love the fact that you can get this monogrammed! Nice addition to the shirt. It's warm and washes nicely in cold water. I air it dry. The flannel is soft! and nice on the skin. I can wear another thin shirt under this. I got the brown and love the colors! Not too manly looking on a female.

Handsome shirt and nice and warm on those cold day
I bought this shirt for my husband as one of his birthday presents. Love the plaid colors! He looks great in it and he told me the shirt keeps him warm and very comfortable to wear. We are always impressed with L L Bean products and they last for years. I have been shopping with them for over 35 years. I highly recommend!

Good medium-weight flannel
Just brought this shirt after buying another in a different color. Like it a lot but note that this particular shirt runs a little bit "snug" or tight across the shoulders so had to get a Large instead of Medium (but slightly fitted style). Also note it is a medium-weight flannel, not heavy.
