Love it, but…
I have purchased 4 of these and the quality varies widely. The first one I purchased had some of the lines you expect with waxed canvas, a look I refer to as “beat up”. I think the lines give waxed canvas items a lot of character. The other 3 are considerably more “beat up”. They look like someone bunched them up in a ball and then tried to smooth them out. Not the look I was going for.

Nice but could use some Tweeks
Nice and sturdy - good handles - "gray" color a bit more brown/purple undertones and although the idea of "well loved" rings true yet - I'd rather give a gift that the individual recipient can break in themselves (it looked a bit too worn)

Read the measurements! It’s small.
No quibbles with the construction quality or appearance. But—if you have plans for holding odd-sized pieces of wood like I did, it’s going to be too small. I was envisioning a 16-18” diameter, not the 12” diameter, which is small for the plans I have. That oversight is100% on me. LL Bean puts the specs right where you can find them in the listing. I do love the idea of a bigger version that has something to help it stay round when not filled as year-round hearth decoration. The romance of LL Bean accessories around my hearth hasn’t dimmed after 40 years, so I’m going to work with this piece until something closer to my vision comes to market. For the bazillion odd-sized pieces that come from cutting and splitting your own wood, I think I will be going instead with a modestly-sized 16” diameter washtub—and may spray-paint it to an appropriate rustic color in sage, rusty-brown or dark yellow.
