They've changed and quality is lower
I have three pairs of these I bought 1-2 years ago. I bought a new pair a week or so ago and it is different. First, it came with a seam coming undone. No big deal for me to stitch it up so I did but it shows that the quality is failing. But the big change is in the waistband. I'm not sure what exactly is different but it appears to be narrower. For now I'm keeping the pants because I needed them but I'll reserve judgement.

Loved the color and the material -was going to return them for extremely long for me and it hadn’t happen before with pants I ordered but leaving on a trip and will have the hem fixed

I bought these because I love my perfect fit denim pants so I wanted a pair in black. The pants I got were not "denim" as I expected! They were a stretch type of material - maybe I misunderstood the "denim" in the advertisement????? Also, all my pants I get in Medium Petite are a good length --- these are quite long and I will have to pay to get them hemmed!!!
