More than expected
This coat is extremely warm. It has nice pockets. A surprise perk of this coat is the inner sleeve to prevent cold from getting in.

Good All around Parka
This is my second Rugged Ridge Parka. bought one aboutss a year ago and am still wearing it. Wanted a second one for when walking the dogs on not so cold winter days. This parka fits well, true to size. I ordered a Large, Regular so I could later underneath. It is definitely Windproof which is the best way to keep warm. I found wearing it from mid to upper 20’s Into 30’s is best temperature range foe me. But it’s those in between temperatures in the early winter and late fall that I wanted it for. Plenty of pockets and plenty of room to carry stuff. And the hood fits snug if you need it. Basically, it is a good all-around parka.

Warm without bulk
I shopped around a long time before deciding on this jacket, which I use for downhill skiing. After a couple of cold days on the slope, I can say it's warm, hits at just the right hip length, and allows for great freedom of movement. Overall I love it so far. It is true to size. I am normally a large, but at some stores wear medium. I went with my true size Large and it is perfect.

not a downhill ski jacket
I bought this for downhill skiing. The jacket is warm and has just enough pockets. The only downside is skiing in single digits, the hood is too shallow and does not fit over a helmet. When the hood is over the helmet, I am unable to fully zip the jacket.

I purchased this coat for my lady-friend. She stated the parka is very warm, and she loves all the pockets. She was very pleased with her gift.

Plastic-y and stiff feel
I love the color! The coat is warm without weighing a ton. It resists wind and snow well.
However…. The fabric is stiff and feels plastic-y. The front closure has unnecessary Velcro which I despise because it snags everything. The fit is loose so the jacket acts like a chimney and sucks cold air up from the bottom. The skimpy elastic string at the hem does not mitigate the chimney effect.
It’s better than the excessively heavy coat I wanted to replace but at this price point, it should be nicer. Not worth the price imo but I can’t put on a 10 lb coat with my shoulder injury so with reluctance and disappointment, I’m keeping it

I love this coat!
I bought this coat last year after looking high and low for a coat that had all the features that I wanted. It's super warm, it zips correctly every single time and can unzip from the bottom up for driving or activity. I hope they keep making this coat because I plan to replace it with the exact same one next time. Only downside is that one of the little velcro strips at the bottom next to the zipper would sometimes catch on my glove when driving. I just found a little piece of velcro in the same color and put it on that spot -- problem solved!
