Perfect for wind and rain
Lightweight and dries very quickly. Very waterproof for hours. Washes well with Nikwax products. The zipper is sturdy with large teeth that holds up well. The quality has been consistent over the years except the 2025 purchase has a hood that is too large. Prior models have an excellent hood large enough to go over a horseback riding or bicycle helmet. I keep 3 of them - a larger size to layer over my fleece vest and fleece coat for daily outside work, a backup, and one to loan to guests who don't understand the Pacific Northwest.

Nice, but a bit short
Good-looking jacket. I will use it as my rain-or-shine jacket when traveling. I only gave it 4 stars because it is about 2-3 inches too short for adequate rain coverage - I don’t want knee-length, but a ‘city’ length would be more practical. I am 5’8” size 4-6 and I bought a size Medium to allow for layering. Happily, the sleeves are long enough.

Very disappointed!
I bought this to replace a similar LL Bean rain jacket that I’ve had for years and absolutely loved, but it’s s worn out. My excitement at receiving this new jacket quickly turned to disappointment when it didn't fit! It’s not too big, too small, too short, or too long (the choices offered on my reason for returning it). It’s poorly proportioned. It’s tight across the back. A larger size would make the shoulders too broad and the sleeves too long. I used the web site’s questionnaire on fit and chose the size it recommended, which is the same size as the rain jacket I need to replace. But it was inaccurate. I’m so very disappointed! 😔

Wonderful jacket!
This jacket fits true to size. It is light weight and very comfortable. It is waterproof and the adjustable hood keeps the rain off my face and hair. It looks great on me. Too!

Good quality rain jacket
Purchased after my last LL Bean rain jacket's zipper broke. High quality, good coverage. As far as fit, the jacket seems to fall too straight and is therefore a little tight around the lower body but will work (unless I need something heavy under it). Love that it has a hood, too.
