Perfect coat
I have several waterproof coats, but wanted one that provides a bit, but not too much, of warmth. This fits the bill. I have not yet tested how waterproof it is, but with LL Bean, I know it will hold up, and if it doesn't, I know they will make it good.

Comfortable!
It fits beautifully - fitted but loose enough for a sweater underneath. I like that it has both snaps and a zipper.

Stylish and waterproof.
Beautifully sewn and constructed. This would make a wonderful gift for anyone. I wish it was a little warmer, but will wear it with a vest or sweaters underneath. It seems to be windproof as well as waterproof, so far. Sturdy double zipper and adjustable snaps that are finished up the sleeves in a lovely way. The first day I wore it, a coworker wanted to know where I got it!

Can’t say anything bad. It fit well and kept me dry. And it looks nice on.

VERY Disappointed
I bought the previous version of this coat several years ago and loved it, but I’ve worn it out and need to replace it. I knew from the description online that there had been some updates to the style. But the new version is not “updated,” is is a completely different coat. The insulation is nowhere near as warm, and there is no insulation in the sleeves! What?!? Also, the fit is completely different — the petite medium in the previous model fit me perfectly, but this petite medium is huge. I’m very disappointed and returning.

Great raincoat, but not for people with short arms
I just bought this raincoat. It's very nicely made, and feels good on...except that the sleeves are designed so they cannot be shortened. I bought a petite XL. Even my old world tailor gave up. The snaps don't cinch in the sleeve enough, and a raincoat should have elastic or some other method of keeping out the rain. Back it goes.

I love it unless it's raining.
First off, I love L.L. Bean. I've loved L. L. Bean even when I could only afford it at the thrift store. In fact I still own a hideous yellow and green tie dyed backpack with someone else's initials on it. That probably contributed to the disappointment that is this jacket. I love the fit and features. I think it flatters me, when I wear it I feel like the cool girl unless it's raining, then all I feel is wet and miserable. My sister and I bought these to wear as our outer layer on an Alaskan cruise. We were quickly soaked through. The next day we bought outrageously expensive ponchos and proceeded to look like bags of leaves instead of cool girls for the rest of our time in Alaska. These raincoats might would work for running from the car to the office but I find myself reaching for a less pretty but proven raincoat instead if there's any chance of rain. I'll add a photo so you can see how soaked through our raincoats got.

Raincoat
Overall it's a very nice coat. It's a bit large in areas, with the sleeves seeming to be kind of long.
