So happy I bought this jacket!
I bought this jacket for a trip to Ireland and was so happy I did. We had "yellow warnings" for wind, and the rain came down sideways at times, but I stayed warm and dry. I could have gone with a size small but went with a medium to allow room for layers, and I sure didn't mind the sleeves being a little long to keep my hands dry. I agree with the reviews from people wishing that there was a closure for the pockets. I used the inside pocket for anything important. I also agree on the need for a more secure fastener for the lining in the sleeves. The hood was big enough to provide great coverage for my head, and the drawstring kept the hood from blowing down. I'd highly recommend this jacket if you're going to be out in the wind/rain.

Excellent Rain Jacket
Lucky me! The first day I wore this jacket I was out on the ocean depending on it to shield me from the wind. We had an unexpected downpour and I stayed completely dry. Most of the water beaded up with a few tiny areas that looked like they had soaked in but nothing come through. The following week we had another unexpected downpour. Again, I was extremely happy with this jacket. It handled wind and rain just fine. (with the liner removed). The workmanship on this jacket was excellent. I didn't love the zippers but that is just my preference. I only wish there were more colors to chose from. I am very pleased with this jacket.

Sleeves and pockets miss the mark
I wanted to keep the coat but the sleeves were too long with no cuff - not great for a wet weather coat. With just a snap to narrow the wrist opening slightly, there was no way to work with the over-long sleeves and water could run up the sleeve if the arm is lifted. Also, the pockets are very shallow (too shallow for a cell phone, for example) with no zip or snap closure - again odd for a wet weather coat. I preferred the Waterproof Primaloft Packaway Jacket Women's Petite instead - better pockets (inside and out), sleeves and cuffs.

Great rain coat - how could be better
This raincoat is great in so many ways. Love the material and fit. Wish the hand pockets had zippers or Velcro and wish the lining was thicker - seems flimsier than the last LLBean raincoat I had like this. Have not tried it for cooler weather yet but sense that the current lining style may not add much warmth - wait and see.

Love it. Fit is perfect
Fits great, looks great. The only drawback is the lining; it doesn’t offer much for warmth. Will do best on chilly days with a sweater underneath

Jacket construction
I love everything about this jacket except the sleeves. The sleeve lining is not attached to the sleeve shell so every time you take the jacket off, the lining separates. I'm going to stitch the lining to the sleeve shell. Never had a jacket that was constructed this way.
