Comfortable, warm, and supportive
These boots came smelling like fresh leather..the sole feels good for my arches, the leather is soft, these boots are not "clunky" and actually feel streamlined, despite being rubberized and lined with shearling on the ankle and upper foot area. I was surprised that the shearling did not extend down into the rubberized section of the boot, but there is still a warm lining there. I also wish the laces were longer because I have thick ankles. But the boots fit great for the most part, I am a size 7 and I ordered a 6.5 as recommended. I can wear a wool sock of thin or medium thickness with them. Overall very pleased!

Had to return and have waited 3 weeks for a credit
Buyer Beware! I had to return one pair of these as they ran large. LLBean received em over 3 weeks ago and still have not issued a credit! They aren’t what they used to be! Now they act like thieves!

Bad "new" feature?
These boots were so disappointing!!! We've had several iterations of Bean boots in our family for decades. These lined shearling boots have a "new" lining? There's an internal ridge between the side of the boot, to about ankle height, that runs around the perimeter of the foot. It creates about a 1/2 inch shelf that would give the most hardened feet blisters. We just can't figure this out. Did we get an off pair of boots, or is this a new, intentional design? So uncomfortable!!!
