As an L.L. Bean employee, I meet a lot of customers who are looking for great products. Many folks ask about a great way to preserve the life of their Bean Boots or other leather boots and shoes. I am always pleased to point out the convenient tub of Boot Guard to one and all. Recently I purchased a new pair of boots and decided I needed to take my own advice.
I followed the directions on the container: rubbed in the product onto the leather of my boots, let it soak in and then buffed with a soft clean cloth followed by a swift brushing with my father's old boot brushes. The product smells nice, like lanolin, and actually felt nice on my winter-weary hands too. The shoes look better than new and clean up nicely after a walk through the winter landscape. Highly recommended

Bean Boot Guard is awesome!
Excellent boot treatment. Easy to apply (I recommend using your bare fingers), solid waterproofing and adds suppleness to new leather. I can't say enough good things about it!
