Almost purchased
I have been eyeing this jacket since before Black Friday, checking almost every other day and lo-and-behold, the price went up! It went UP!!!
I would love an explanation for this, but as of right now, I will not shop at this store.

Not as warm as expected
I had purchased the same coat a few years ago and loved it. I lost a lot of weight, gave the old coat to a friend and replaced it with this one. NOT THE SAME! It’s not near as warm. I’m very disappointed.

Awesome coat, but terrible durability
This is a really, really great coat. I recently moved from a desert climate to Northern Michigan this winter, so I’ve been extra cold. That’s why I justified splurging on this coat. It’s extremely lightweight, which made me nervous at first, but it’s so warm. I literally haven’t been cold. I’ve not been too warm in it either—it’s nice and breathable but warm. The problem with it, is I’ve had it for maybe a month at this point, and I snagged it yesterday, literally just walking inside my house and it caught on something and the fluff is now coming out. I’m honestly so disappointed it can’t handle normal wear and tear. The same thing happened with my $54 pair of gloves I also got from here. I love them; temperature is great, but they snag and rip way too easily to be practical in the real world. I’d worry about it snagging on anything you sit on that’s not a soft couch. But the fit is really beautiful and for it being a long coat (I’m 5’10 and it fits great), it doesn’t feel too bulky or too tight or anything.

Light, Warm & Messy
After extensive shopping for a long packable coat, I landed on my first LL Bean purchase. It's a perfect length and in spite of It's weight it's been keeping me warm this winter while running errands. The notable downside is how the down feathers spew from the coat nonstop. The black coat covered on feathers and by rhe time I clean it off, a new batch has emerged. I'd buy a similar coat at a similar price from another brand given the choice again.
