Our flannel pillowcases are made of superior cotton fabric that resists pilling and shrinkage, brushed on both sides for an extra-soft hand.
After more than two years, more than 75 testers and a close partnership with flannel experts at our mill in Portugal, we developed an exclusive process that removes fibers from the surface of the fabric to create a remarkably soft and velvety finish. The result is the most pill-resistant flannel pillowcases we've ever tested, unmatched in comfort and durability.

I love these pillowcases (and sheets). I didn't give 5 stars because I think the price is too high. In fact I think LL Bean prices have become outrageous. We were recently in the Nashua NH outlet store looking for men's slippers and they were $90! Point made.
