Multiple defects in this rug. Poor quality control by the manufacturer and because it "ships directly from the manufacturer", LLBean Quality Team has no involvement.

Pad is great.
This product is amazing. Thankfully, I also purchased the rubberized pad to fit under the runner to prevent any movement of the pad. It works wonderfully.
