An L.L.Bean exclusive, our plush flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Decrease in Fabric Quality
I’ve worn these for many years and own several pairs. Yes, they are comfortable, well-made, true-to-size, however, it seems the thread count gets lower and lower over the years. They just aren’t as thick as previous years. I question over the last 10-20 years how much the thread count has decreased. I do find they wear out much sooner than the older ones I own. Also, can you update the forever LL Bean plaid and at least add one new dimension to the line-up?

These are very comfortable but they have no fly. Had I known that, I probably would not have bought them. If that is not an issue, then they are fine.
