Product Details
Polarized sunglasses can cause the images on cell phones, GPS units, computers and other gadgets to be distorted and hard-to-see. These sunglasses solve that problem with nonpolarized lenses plus a built-in bifocal magnifier.
- Patented design places the magnifier in a lower position.
- Nonpolarized lenses won't distort the screen readouts of cell phones, GPS units and other gadgets.
- Available in three magnifications: 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 (1.5 is the least magnification, 2.5 the greatest).

"Reader" v "Bifocal"
As of 10/09/2024 this product is listed online as "Adults' Gadget Reader Sunglasses." If you look really close (and don't need better glasses) you can see in the product photo that they are actually what are commonly referred to as "bifocals." The important distinction is this: Bifocals have lenses of different strengths which correct both close up and distance vision, while readers have a single vision lens of a certain magnification. Unlike the online description, the box this product comes in clearly states what they are: Bifocals. (Actually says "Performance Bifocals," which means… what, exactly?) I really wish they were readers because I would love to have a pair of readers this stylish and comfortable. Seems aging folk like me (matured past CK decades ago) have long been the target demographic of LL. So why doesn't the Bean know the difference between "readers" and "bifocals" by now?

Good for short reading tasks outside -- not novels
Glasses are great! The "reader" part of the lens is small -- these glasses are not for reading books outdoors -- but they would be perfect if you needed to check your phone or a map during your time outdoors.

Bought Another Immediately
Absolutely outstanding. Bifocal section nice and low, but there when you need it for driving or reading outdoors. Top notch quality and clarity. Frame size is medium to small, which is so hard to find and one of the things I really like.

Nice glasses, but don't help with reading
I like the lenses on these glasses. However, they don't appear to help with reading on sunny days like the description says. I've tried several apps on my phone, even a bright white one and I still have to take these off to read. I've also tried them with the sun in front and behind me. Disappointing, but I will probably keep them since I do like the fit and finish.

Good quality
I needed a pair of reader sunglasses that were Not Polarized so they did not interfere with car heads-up display. This model worked out great for me.

I have a hard time finding sun glasses that fit and these are great. They are well made and are perfect for those who need readers.
