Product Details
The softest long-lasting flannel, designed in an easy relaxed fit. Available in the widest range of 100% authentic Scottish tartans - all specially yarn-dyed so they'll stay bright.
This exclusive flannel shirt is woven just for us by true artisans in Portugal. These expert craftspeople meticulously brush our Scotch Plaid fabric eight times on each side to create a long-lasting material with that distinctive smooth and cozy feel. But that doesn't automatically make it plush enough. It still needs to pass the "touch test." Only a master weaver can declare it soft enough.
- Expertly brushed for exceptional softness and warmth.
- Made of 100% high-quality Portuguese cotton flannel, an L.L.Bean exclusive.
- Machine wash and dry.
- Chest pocket.
- Shirttail hem.
- Button-front styling.

doesn't meet my definition of relaxed
I sized up because I wanted to use it as an overshirt. However, it fits perfectly in the size up. Is not very relaxed and has a stiff cardboardy feeling in the cuffs and collar where I almost feel the shirt is wearing me. I had hoped it just needed a wash but things haven't improved fit wise. That said, fabric is nice and thick but not too thick. It fits so I'll keep it but disappointed that relaxed fit isn't actually relaxed. Also it's kind of short.

The flannel is not up to the quality I have grown to expect from Bean; it “pills” for one; the sizing is skimpy, there is no extra button on the sleeve gusset; not up to the quality of item #506162 I purchased a few years ago; I bought three of these new ones and don’t care much for any of them; have not sent them back because I’ve worn and washed them; they lack the Bean coziness I’m used to

Soft and attractive
I bought this for a friend who wears a 2x and she loves it. The colors are a pretty combination and it goes with many different colored t-shirts worn underneath.
