This exclusive flannel shirt is woven just for us by true artisans in Portugal. These expert craftspeople meticulously brush our Scotch Plaid fabric eight times on each side to create a long-lasting material with that distinctive smooth and cozy feel. But that doesn't automatically make it plush enough. It still needs to pass the "touch test." Only a master weaver can declare it soft enough.

Woman’s flannel MacRae Plaid shirt
‘Tiss the season for flannel. If you are looking for a beautiful plaid shirt to wear this winter Bean’s has many colorful plaids that are warm and comfy. I am 5 ft 10 and 150 lbs. The woman's tall medium was a perfect fit. The cuffs actually come down to my wrists. This shirt is great to wear around the house but also pretty enough to wear for a casual

soft and warm flannel shirt
I love this flannel shirt. It's brushed and medium weight, making for a very cozy shirt with or without another shirt beneath it. It launders well and doesn't need ironing unless you are really fussy.

Nicely made but runs smaller than usual
I have lots of LL Bean flannel shirts, and have always ordered medium relaxed fit, but this one felt smaller than usual. I measured it compared to the other medium shirts I have, and it measured a half inch smaller in the sleeves, and one inch smaller in the circumferance. LL Bean has always been known for high quality, but sizing is off, so be aware.

Excellent quality!
I love the thickness of this flannel shirt. It's great for spring, fall and winter. Its heavy enough to wear by itself when its cold, I can add a shirt underneath for extra warmth when its really cold, or as an over shirt in the spring or fall. The quality of the sewn seams and buttons is very good, with no loose, frayed or missed seams. I expect to get many years of wear for this shirt. This is the quality I have come to expect from LL Beans products, and why I have been shopping here for over 40 years.
