This exclusive flannel shirt is woven just for us by true artisans in Portugal. These expert craftspeople meticulously brush our Scotch Plaid fabric eight times on each side to create a long-lasting material with that distinctive smooth and cozy feel. But that doesn't automatically make it plush enough. It still needs to pass the "touch test." Only a master weaver can declare it soft enough.

Very nice shirt
Very nice shirt, light weight for fall and to wear over a t-shirt. Only problem is the sleeves are always too long by an inch or two.

Versatile Fall/Winter flannel shirt
I really like the red plaid flannel shirt! It’s cheerful, comfortable, and warm. I’m 5’4”, 118 lbs: ordered size Medium petite. It fits well, a bit on the short side. With the regular medium, sleeves are always too long, but fine with petite. I hope it washes well; usually flannel wrinkles and I like to avoid ironing.

Excellent rendition of traditional flannel shirt
Lovely and sturdy well-made traditional Scottish tartan cotton flannel shirt. This is constructed better than any other familiar mail-order vendor. 100% cotton. You will enjoy wearing this. This particular shirt is relaxed fit which suits me well.

Lovely!
I purchased the tan/brown with green and melon plaid and it is gorgeous. Medium petite fits beautifully, despite a slight tug at the bust but that’s the tig bitty life. I can’t wait to wear the heck out of it this fall!

I love these flannel shirts that are so beautiful and soft. The are nice and warm and fit perfecty in a small-petite plus are made very well. Wish I had one in every color!

Soft and comfy and warm
I always love to have a flannel shirt in my closet and have been buying these for many years. The shirt lasts but I look for a different plaid every few years. I do think the flannel has become thinner over the years. Be forewarned the shirts do shrink when washed and dried. Since I’m not one for ironing, I do put them in the dryer. With that in mind I now buy two sizes up. Still think these shirts are the best on the market.

A great-fitting, flattering flannel Shirt
I purchased this flannel shirt in Washed Buchanan, size Large, Regular. For reference, I normally wear a size 12 in tops and 14 in bottoms, and L.L. Bean’s size Large fits me perfectly (5’3”, 170 lbs).
This is a lighter-weight flannel, which makes it versatile for layering or wearing on its own. The sleeve length is perfect, and the body fit is just right—it doesn’t pull across the bust, and I can comfortably button the bottom around my hips. The relaxed cut curves slightly through the bust and hips, so it’s flattering without being boxy (something that’s hard to find in women’s flannels).
The colors are beautiful—rich but not muted, and they fall on the cooler spectrum, which I love. They also coordinate really well with some of my L.L. Bean Pima cotton T-shirts. I liked this shirt so much that I purchased it in several different color patterns.
