Perfect fit
These boots were for my wife, they fit true to size and are very comfortable. It has been very cold and snowy and wet this winter and she wears them everywhere and stays warm and dry

Slouchy, blistery disasters
I was very excited to find these boots! I liked the look and have plain enjoyed both bean boots and waxed canvas items previously, so combining them seemed like a great idea. However, the waxed canvas upper does not have enough stiffness to stay upright and tends to slump or slouch down, thus rubbing and causing pain and blisters. I tried lacing differently, different socks, and everything I could think of, but nothing seemed to help. Also beware that the wax seems to have been applied after stitching, so it is blotchy and uneven around all seams. Looks way better online and from a distance. But the design and construction is what I really question.

ANOTHER AWESOME PR of LLB BOOTS!
Got these in sz 11 as that's all they had left! Norm I wear a 10m in LLB boots. These fit well too but need heavier sox. They are not a warm boot! Beware! You will need either a sheepskin liner and/or heavy sox to keep your feet warm! They are waterproof, and I even got the wax upper part wet, and water didn't get my sox wet! I found the construction to be up to par. I really did not need these lol as you can see by the pic! lol But oh well! I LOVE them as I do EVERY pr of my LLB boots! I highly recommend them to everyone! Just beware of sizing when you do order! They are made extremely well and Thankfully in the Good Ole USA! THANK YOU LLB!

Sloppy.
I bought a pair of these boots years ago and loved them. Recently I purchased another pair. What a DISAPPOINTMENT! The wax on the boots did not cover the entire boot. Where the wax was applied, it was a sloppy mess! Big spotted areas without wax. It looked looked someone slapped the wax on with a low quality paint brush. What a mess!!!! Very disappointed with the quality and shocked that L.L. Bean would even send out a pair of boots that were so obviously WRONG! They should have been thrown in the trash at L.L. Bean! Not put in a box and shipped out. After generations of my family buying from L.L. Bean...this is the first time I can honestly say I was shocked to receive such a mess.

Boot construction
I’ve had these in the past this is my third pair. I bought two sets this time because they were on sale.
The boot construction was not up to par on either pair I purchased .
the point where the boot attaches to the canvas. It was not uniform and there were places where they had to double stitch it to make it fit.
I would’ve sent these back if I had paid full price.
My last two sets which I bought were in perfect condition.
