Pole covers provide security for me!
The hiking poles tend to slide on interior floors so having the tips helps a lot to have secure footing.

"TIP" top shape
The addition of these tips were perfect for walkabouts on man made surfaces. Rubber tips silenced the tip tap of the pointed tips and protected that tip. Highly recommend the extra purchase.
