Elegant Coat
I love this coat! 100% lambswool with Thinsulate lining is warm and comfortable for moderate winter weather in NJ. Beautifully tailored. Traditional style presents elevated look for work or important social occasions. Size 10 Petite fits perfectly (for reference: 5'4", 125 lbs), with room for winter sweater underneath.

Did not pass
I was bummed that I did not end up keeping the coat as it looked beautiful in the web image. The shoulder area was oddly snug and the quality just wasn't there in comparison to other LL Bean items I own. The color was quite muted and I was hoping for a deeper, rich navy.

Odd proportions for a coat
This wool coat is wide at the shoulders and narrow at the hips. Wasn't designed for this female figure. I returned it, even though I need to replace my previous LLBean wool coat. I'm sad at the lack of quality in general at LLBean.

Beautiful and Warm Full fitting Coat
Beautiful wool fabric, not bulky or heavy in weight, and well-made in every way. It is very warm, I'm sure. My intention was to wear it with dresses and dressier pant outfits - when it's cold in Georgia - (not typical, but it occurs)! It is full cut as opposed to fitted. - Unfortunately, because it is full cut and I wear size 2 Petite, it was too big; it wrapped across the front of my body like a double breasted coat (think, Pea coat style) and so I returned it.
Great Quality wool coat; I have a size 4P Pea Coat from LLBean (same fabric and thinsulate lining)/ After 20 years, it's still in great shape. I wear it, in Georgia's coldest weather and when I travel in colder climates during Fall and Winter. It is a little big now that I'm a size 2 (rather than 4), but the difference is that this 3/4 Polo coat was for dressier occasions - and, on me, looked too big. I needed a size 2P or 0P - which doesn't exist at LLBean. I love LLBean products, of which, I have many.

Love the Material - HATE THE AWFUL FIT!!!
I bought no fewer than 4 wool coats, from J. Crew, LLBean, Nordstroms, and a few others. They are mostly not great. I am 5’10-1/2”, maybe 5’9-1/2” now, I older. Anyway, if you’re are taller like me the coats are all made for average sized women - and that isn’t me. The coats are all too short, make my wrists t stick out too far, way, way too narrow in the shoulder, I just hate it. So in order to have a coat that doesn’t strangle my breasts and armpits I have to order 3 sizes larger than I actually wear, I just wish it had an adjustable belt, then I could be warm without having to wear a heavy sweater under it.. The boiled wool is very good quality. I just wish they could actually fit the coat to the woman. We buy these coats bc of warmth and style. STYLE Folks, Remember that?

Quality Wins The Day
I purchased the first coat last year in the camel color for my granddaughter. She lives in Washington state and it is very cold many months of the year. She was so happy with the warmth the camel coat provided. She told me it was not bulky. She loves the length and said it was very comfortable to drive in, and it fit really well. She loved the camel coat so much and wore it so often it was hard to get it to the cleaners. So, this year I sent her two more of the same coat, the same style as the camel one. She asked for black , but it is not a choice. So I bought the dark blue and one in the gray. We wish you had a black one available, it would be a really good idea because black is a basic . So, now has a choice from a wardrobe of wonderful coats that she knows will be very comfortable, look very smart and keep her warm all day as she travels about the Countryside. She is a sales rep and has to dress professionally. This style of coat and the warmth that it provides along with Great fit make it a wonderful addition to her wardrobe. Having three has really thrilled her. Her enthusiasm for this coat has made me decide to order one for myself. Won’t need it often, here in So Cal.

Beautiful Coat
I bought the tan three quarter polo coat. It is absolutely beautiful, and you can feel the quality in the weight of the garment. It will last for years. So why the four stars instead of five? Because it runs quite small through the shoulders and body-the sleeves are fine. I wear a size 2 or 4, depending. I bought the size 4 coat, thinking that it would give me enough room to wear some layers or a thick sweater under it. No, that won't be happening. I would really suggest going up a size. I think I would have been much happier with a size 6. I have kind of broad shoulders for a woman, but not extreme, but I have to do some contortions to get my arms in the sleeves, and then it just isn't going to allow for more than a thin layer under it. It buttons, and is wearable, but won't allow for all the outfits I wanted to wear with it. Get the coat, just get it bigger.
