Traditional double-layer woodsman's gloves have been a winter staple in Maine for generations. They're tough enough for chopping wood, hunting, and ice fishing, yet also great for sledding and cold-weather hikes. Not available in California.

- It has moccasin-style construction, with wing on thumb seam for extra durability.
- Outer mitt is made of supple, strong deerskin leather that resists wind, wear and water.

This purchase replaces choppers that I've worn out. You can place hand warmers between the outer and inner layers to keep your hands warm in these very cold winters.

Only Way To Have Warm Hands
Gloves just don't cut it under 32 degrees. These mittens work - always work - and the liner mitten is comfortable and the leather is soft and wind and weather resistant. You can treat them if you want to make them very water resistant but then the leather won't breath and if your hands sweat they can get damp and that means cold hands no matter what you are wearing. Pop them off when you need dexterity and back on when done. No brainer purchase.
