Sweater is shaped for a box. it does not conform to a woman's figure.
I was not expecting form-fitting, but neither was I expecting this.
It will have to be returned. I join the chorus of folks who comment on the decline in quality and reliability of LLBean products.

I got ivory color and it is very soft and comfortable. I fall btwn a small and a medium in LLBean and got the M. I just wish it wasnt so long.

Did not work for me
I would have preferred a more refined scale in this sweater to make it more versatile. Between the wide weave and wide trim around the V, the overall effect was rustic. The "sunwashed" effect made the Navy look faded, as in old--perhaps other colors looked better. I also thought that this might be one of those loose knits that grows as the day wears on. Soft and comfortable with a nice drape, but I did not keep it.

Too large
My second try to buy this top in green. I have blue, maroon and yellow all petite small boat neck. Previously I ordered the boatneck in this green and I thought it was not sized right and returned it. Then I thought it was just a one off and ordered the V-neck. I returned it because it also was too large. These tops are great for cooler summer evenings and really all seasons. For the price I’d never order this top in the green again. I’m 4’10 and weigh 125.
