good protection
Used this in Ecuador, on the equator. Did not get sunburned! Good coverage. Like the thumbhole sleeves. Wish it came in petite, as it was long on me. These thin manufactured knits don't always drape flatteringly compared to natural fabrics but I like the shirt regardless. Nice aqua color, and no hoodie tie strings to get in the way.

Sun Shirt Perfection!
Over the years, I have worn many sun shirts from different companies while doing yard work in the heat and humidity of North Carolina. This LL Bean shirt is my favorite by far. I have two and will purchase more in the future as my other shirts are retired. These are soft shirts, dry quickly, and are excellent at limiting sun exposure. I especially appreciate that this shirt is hooded - perfect for tucking under a large brimmed hat to keep any sun off my lower neck. It's also cute enough and super comfy to wear as a t-shirt in the summer and the LL Bean logo is just enough of look finished without being obnoxious. Literally, the perfect summer t-shirt.

See through
I ordered the Reef Color one and it’s transparent enough that my shorts and bra can be seen through it. The sleeves are also too long I have two of the SunSmart shirts in the same size (without hood) that you can’t see through, with shorter sleeves that fit. Returned.

Comfortable, not too hot and sun smart!
I was looking for a sun protection hoodie for a hiking trip and this one was perfect! It is comfortable, not too tight and not too loose, and not too warm for a sunny day. I have found sun protection shirts to be much too hot in the past, the fabric not breathable at all. This is different! And it's much preferable for me than wearing sunscreen. I also very much appreciate the length of the sleeve and thumbholes, as the backs of my hands are often a place I forget about when protecting myself from the sun. I'm getting at least one more!
