Very pretty shirt Love fabric/color but sleeves :(
Pro: Nice, light fabric, soft, very pretty Silver/blue color will go with many things (pale turquoise/off white/navy stripe). Not too baggy but stands away from body. I am 5'6" 165lb and ordered LP to get the shorter length/ fits well.
Con: it seems to be the fashion to have giant arm holes which make the sleeves stick out. The model must be wearing shoulder pads (and is turned sideways) to minimize this. I'm going to keep this and close up the arm holes by 2inches - it looks better on me. I think a camp shirt would've been better for me. sigh.

Inconsistent sizing
Loved the look, and purchased 3 different colors before the 3x size ran out, as happens so often. The sage was the first I tried on, a very nice color with a nice fit. The armholes were a little big, but nothing that would prevent me from wearing it. Then tried on the orchid, a beautiful color....which unfortunately clashed with the color of my bra which was clearly visible through the very large armholes when I lifted my arms, larger than the sage shirt. Finally tried on the navy, which was massive on all levels, chest, sleeves, armholes. Would have loved to keep all, but two went back. Too bad, because it's a comfortable, otherwise flattering fit.

Smells very musty/moldy
This is a cute top. I bought the sage color. It fits well (usually wear an XL, and the XL fit appropriately). Unfortunately, I can't keep it. It has a terribly musty odor to it. It's not subtle, like someone else could have missed the smell. It REEKS! There's no way I'm putting this in my closet and stinking up everything else. It's ridiculous to pay a premium price for a very thin blouse and have it not be perfect upon arrival. I don't feel as though I should have to try to wash it and see if the smell will come out. If it doesn't I'm probably stuck with it, but either way, I shouldn't have to mess around with brand new clothing to make it wearable! This is definitely a musty smell from the shirt or fabric being wet and not drying properly. My daughter was a competitive swimmer for 12 years, and I know the smell of musty towels left in a gym bag too long... This is the exact same smell. Sorry, LL Bean, you've got to do better! This is going back immediately!

Sizing
The Bayside Blue is gorgeous and the colors are as-depicted onscreen. So pretty with blue eyes! Two issues: 1) shirt came reeking of cigarette smoke. 2) sizing. I am 125#, 5'3". The size small was 22" across- yes that's 44" circumference! Enormous. I think I will try the XS however the sleeves do awkwardly stand out and are very big, so I may opt for a petite which I usually never do in shirts. Nevertheless material is very soft and colors are gorgeous so I will try again!
